Is Your Water Heater a Disaster Looming?

Water heater calls are a very common occurrence for us here at SERVPRO.  Whether a leak, a burst water heater, a pipe or even corrosion has cause the issue. 

We have put together a few tips to help you make sure that your water heater is in safe working order to avoid such a disaster as well as making your water heater more energy efficient. 

1. Test the TPR Valve.

2. Check the anode rod.

3. Drain the tank and wash out sediment

4. Adjust the Temperature

5. Insulate the pipes

6. Insulate the water heater itself.

Many of these are simple steps you can do at home or contact a plumber to do a quick routine maintenance.
